Jobs is a worldwide leader universally known for its supply of milling machines/drilling machines for the aerospace industry.
It has developed innovative products for machining:
- structural parts in aluminium alloy
- skins in aluminium alloy
- skins and structures in composite
- tough materials including titanium, stainless steel, inconel and others
It has also installed numerous systems for assembly lines, as well as complex supplies complete with customised turnkey services.
Jobs products for aerospace are developed taking into account the specific industry needs, based on the typical requirements of OEMs and subcontractors, including:
- very high speed (linear motor LinX line) with speed up to 70 m/min (2756 in/min) and accelerations up to 7 m/sec² (276 in/ sec²) for single axis
- high torque (JomaX, Tarkus) with different power and torque solutions (up to 75 kW/100 hp, up to 2500 Nm/1844 lb*ft)
- low hourly cost (eVer 7, Thor 200, Jomach, T/TRT, Speeder)
All machines feature:
- maximum levels of dynamics, especially for 5 continuous axis machining
- high structural and dimensional configurability
- specific accessories for this field
- high volumetric accuracy adaptable to each application
- suitable certification for main OEMs on a worldwide level
- maximum level of product support services.
ALUMINIUM MACHINING (STRUCTURAL PARTS)
This is an application sector which requires maximum productivity, quality and reliability.
Particularly with its LinX product range, Jobs has developed customised configurations which combine specifically designed heads for this use with the standard machine.
- Duo system
- used to create the right and left part at the same time
- makes it possible to build large parts with 2 spindles working simultaneously.
The range of accessories available for this application sector is indispensable:
- pallets in various dimensions and capacities
- “Niagara” system for cleaning the part after machining
- high capacity chip removal system
- modular control of power consumption
- 3 levels of spindle sensoring for control/management of machining frequencies
- ability to operate unmanned.

ALUMINIUM MACHINING (SKINS)
This application sector requires relatively limited but extremely dynamic power and increasingly sharper precision.
For this application Jobs has developed:
- chip suction system at the spindle with built-in hood and programmable positioning
- high precision countersinking system with dynamic depth control with and without built-in suction (Jobs patent)
- complete enclosure of the operating volume
- - best fitting system
- automatic compensation of geometrical uncertainties of the part being machined
- stack machining system
- machining parameter scanning with automatic material change recognition and consequent real time adjustment of technological parameters

COMPOSITE MACHINING
This was historically the first application field where Jobs created systems and currently has a range of specific products developed based on more than thirty years of experience.
The application context requires relatively limited power, high level dynamics and increasingly sharp accuracy. In addition to developing machines in this sector, Jobs has invested to create a series of accessories, including:
- CompofleX, Jobs universal flexible tooling system for the reference and clamping of composite part families
- high precision countersinking system with dynamic depth control with and without built-in suction (Jobs patent)
- dry machining system:
- dust suctioning with hood built into spindle with programmable stroke (Jobs patent)
- dust suctioning on the table
- complete enclosure of the operating volume
- wet machining system with
- machine anti-corrosion treatment
- waterproof head
- sludge collection system
- machining waste filtering and treatment system
- best fitting system
- automatic compensation of geometrical uncertainties of the part being machined
- stack machining system
- machining parameter scanning with automatic material change recognition and consequent real time adjustment of technological parameters
TITANIUM AND TOUGH ALLOY MACHINING
This is an application context which requires very high rigidity performance and technological control systems with utmost efficiency.
For this, in addition to general purpose machines, Jobs has specifically studied and designed, Tarkus, a milling centre featuring:
- frame with very high rigidity and maximum level dynamics
- specific architecture which permits the same milling capacity in any point of the operating volume
- possibility of performing roughing with both vertical and horizontal axes
- highly efficient tool wear and tool life control system
- high volume and pressure coolant feed.
